Course Overview
This learning module is part 8 in a 12-part series that presents the basic theories, concepts, and methods of treatment for Korean Hand Therapy (KHT). All 12 modules can be viewed in two days, or over time individually. Module 8, Micro-meridian-Back Transport Points and Micro-meridians as Landmarks, presents an overview of the protocols of how the B-Micro-meridian is used in KHT. The topic of the location of the 12 back transport points on the hand is also explored, along with the concept of the 12 Micro-meridians on the fingers as landmarks or pathways for corresponding point location. Attendees will have a thorough understanding of KHT basics upon taking all of the courses in this series.
Course Objectives
- Students will learn about protocols in regards to the B-Micro-meridian and how it is used in KHT.
- Students will know the location of the 12 back transport points on the hand.
- Students will understand the concepts regarding the 12 Micro-meridians on the fingers as landmarks or pathways for corresponding point location.
Course Outline
0 hrs - 15 minB-Micro-meridan, Back Transport Points and Micro-meridians as Landmarks are covered. The B-Micro-meridian location and divisions and protocols for use in KHT are outlined.
15 min - 30 minThe location of the 12 Back Transport Points in three groups are covered: Lung, Pericardium, Heart; Kidney, Urinary Bladder, Large Intestine, Small Intestine; Liver, Gallbladder, Spleen, Stomach, Triple Heater.
30 min - 45 minProtocols for the application of the Back Transport Points is covered. Guidelines for the application of the 12 KHT Micro-meridians as landmarks or features for location of corresponding points on arms and legs is outlined.
45 min - 1 hrsThe instructor explores how to combine the Micro-meridian path and anatomical features to pinpoint the exact location of the corresponding point. Recorded Q&A and case studies.
Teacher
Dr. Dan Lobash, Ph.D., L.Ac., practices KHT (Korean Hand Therapy) and Traditional Oriental Medicine and has been in practicing for over 30 years. He has taught KHT seminars internationally and is published in several TCM journals.
