Series Overview
A comprehensive overview of all aspects of cardiovascular diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention. The classes are offered in bite size 1-hr segments, so that the student has an opportunity to put each step into effect with their patients and to allow time to go more deeply in their studies of the information. There have been many breakthroughs and new understandings of cardiovascular disease and treatment in the last decade. Coupling these new discoveries with the bedside visual examinations done by the great clinicians of old gives us the best of all worlds in cardiovascular diagnosis and care. We will go through a complete examination that generally leaves students quite surprised by what can be surmised with a simple in-clinic visual examination. Cardiovascular disease is the #1 cause of death in the USA. Stroke, heart attack, hypertension and blood vessel disorders are increasing rapidly. The western biomedical system generally does a poor job of identifying the early, easier to treat stages of cardiovascular illness. This early identification is, of course, the tremendous advantage of Chinese medicine.
